Day 1
Hired a taxi for 1000baht which is $40 Singapore dollars . Major ex :( heading to lee garden plaza to find a hotel. It's a 20min drive. Luckily I have a portable charger. Cuz my phone kinda died in the plane. Had top grade bird nest and real shark fin soup in a seafood//bird nest restaurant. Super delicious. And head to the hotel, the hotel is super nice and good!! The view from the 23rd level is amazing!!! The view at night is simply nice. Ate seafood for dinner if I'm not wrong!! :) didn't do much!
Day 2
Woke up early to get breakfast. Had breakfast buffet.. But there's minimal things to eat :( then we went on a tour , consisting of nine places, we went to the beach, a place to see the elephant and I took a ride on the elephant. Hoho cool right!! Woooo I enjoyed it!!! Hehe. Went to the beach too!! And also a sleeping Buddha temple. The sleeping Buddha is huge!!!!! ☝ At night we went to the night market to shop. Saw a denim circle skirt was complementing it, but didnt get it in the end :( instead I got a sunflower highwaisted shorts and a tribal highwaisted shorts for my sis. Went to take a walk around my hotel's plaza, saw a camo highwaisted shorts and i immediately bought it!! Cause I really like it! Dinner was also seafood!!! We uad tom yum and big prawns! and veggie. Had guava for supper! Dad got big head prawns for supper but I didn't have it cause I got sick and tired of having prawns..
Day 3.
Went on a tour again!! This time it was a temple on the mountain! Cooool!!! The temple can be seen from my hotel, since I'm staying at 23rd level! ✌Went to light up fire crackers , okay it wasn't me cause I was too afraid to light up the fire cracker!! My dad did! He bought two big fire crackers!! My first time witnessing a fee cracker live!! After that we went to a icy place like snow city. They had ice sculptures of marina bay sands, and other countries various attractions. Cool huh. And I saw an ice slide, so... Still being a kid, I went down the slide, it was fun!! I went down the slide pretty fast cause the slide was slippery! Okay don't judge, even if you do.. I won't care! Haha lunch was at this random restaurant that we found nearby, the bill was 2,850. Which is close to 120 for 10 person, which is considered okay I guess... Went shopping after that, walk around a random street, found a leather skirt that I've always wanted, but too bad I didn't get the other colours :( dinner at the same place as where I had seafood in day 2. Love the food there!!! But it was the last night at hat yai :( so sad.... Went down with my dad and sis to get the big prawns but we got it in medium size since we've had the large ones the other day. Took a self-portrait of myself with the Christmas tree outside the hotel. The picture tired out pretty well!! 👍
Day 4
Rise and since🌞 went to get mac porridge for breakfast. While parents went for buffet. Didn't go to the buffet cause it didn't have much thing that's nice I eat... After my parents were back from their breakfast , we head out to go to the plaza , which is just below our hotel.. But it wasn't open yet, it opens at 10.30. And it was only 10. So we decided to walk one round around the street, and came back. By the time we came back , the plaza was going to be open, went there to go to the converse retail store to get school shoes. Surprisingly the price there was cheaper than sg. By probably $10 for low cut shoes and $40 for high cut shoes?? And it's not the fake converse that you get from the night market , it's authentic converse. My sister and 1 each bought a pair and we got a high cut shoes for my older sister. Spent about 130sgd (3,250baht) there. After that we went back to the hotel to pack our luggage since we bought 3 pairs of shoes, we had to pack our luggage again. After that we checked out, and booked a van to the airport, we had to wait 25mins for the van so we decided to get food since its hard to get food at the airport. At the airport, we checked in , and we to a cafe I think, dad orders pad Thai and mum ordered Tom Yum. The Tom yum tastes totally different than the Tom yum we had in the restaurant... Lol. I went to get ice cream which it's cup says " Served upside down or else it's free"haha it's kinda cool. After that we went to the boarding gate. And they had a "board me first" lane, so my mum's mine and my sister's ticket had the "BMF" so we could board the plane first! Haha and my dad was the only one stranded at the boarding gate since he bought his ticket in the airport.. Lol. Great ride in the plane except when the plane suddenly went down and up, my heart totally dropped😱 landed safely in sg!
Review on the hotel, place and transport.
Hotel has security = check bags , you'll walk thru this "gate" which sense the metal in your clothes. You'll definitely feel safe. Lobby is in the 10th level. Cool man. They provid free lunch buffet for 2 for each room booked if I'm not wrong. The hotel is clean, comfortable bed, good LCD tv.
Hat yai is definitely an amazing place to visit! Most of them are able to speak chinese , Malay and partially English! And that's great cause it'll be difficult if they only knew how I speak Thai. They are also friendly!! ;) and its really safe there!
Transport , you can take tuk tuk anywhere you go, probably around 20 baht per person I think. I don't see much taxis there, for the 4 day I've been there I only saw like 2 taxis passing by... Haha it'll be a good idea to get a van if you have alot of people going with you.
