OBS 5D4N @ Pulau Ubin🌲
Yes back from the obs camp. Full of insect bites, tan face, hungry & sleep-deprived. And I also think I sprained my wrist.. Alright so yeah, glad to say I survived the obs camp!! Truthfully, the only thing that I enjoy in the camp is making friends. I personally did
not enjoy the land&sea expedition. But both expeditions really pushed me to my limits. When I say limit, I really mean it. MY LIMIT. Without further ado here's te summary of the camp!
Day 1
I got to know that I was in Magellan group :) sooooo. The only person I knew in that group was someone in my school which I've yet to talk to. Lol. Pathetic... I always had this difficultly of making the first move to actually make friends with someone. But I finally took the step out of my comfort zone and actually introduce myself to others. And I Realised that it isn't that difficult after all! So, we were supposed to introduced ourselves. Like name, school , cca and what We do when we have free time. So obviously yeah, when I said that I was in basketball everyone was surprised, maybe like shocked?? And yeah they thought I was in choir or something. Haha so we took the ferry from punggol to Pulau Ubin! We went to camp 2! Then we were introduced to our store! Okay fast forward. To my surprise, lunch was actually bread and biscuits! Oh gosh..... I wondered how I would actually survive during this 5Days in camp......... Then we were told that we'll have our kayaking lesson today which was totally unexpected! After was dinner. dinner was rice with can food! Learnt how to pitch a tent & managed to sleep thru the night. The first day was kind of like a admin & getting to know each other and the place day.
Day 2
Was woken up by the heavy rain at around 5am! Well, the rain was kinda like a morning call for all of us! When the rain subsided a little we were told to pull our ground sheets out and use it as a rain coat and head for cover! After that we washed up and had our breakfast which were bread and biscuits! Started packing for the 2 days camp out. Was sharing a bag provided by obs with my partner and it was very very heavy. Like 12kg ?!?!?!! Did the high elements! the high elements were scary cause im afraid of height!! Haha. after that we head to our open area camp site which did not have a toilet... Errrr. Okay so we settled down and started to prepare for dinner by the shore~~ oh ya! And just nice the campsite was like directly in front of changi area!! So every 5 mins we could see airplanes take off and land!! Cool shit👍 oh ya it was darn hot that night and I couldn't even fall asleep! ❓❗❓❗
Day 3
It's sea expedition day. So we had to go around the whole Pulau Ubin to reach campsite 1. Actually partnered Nysha but we couldn't even control the kayak an we keep on getting washed up shore. Haha so we decided to switch partners! And I partnered with Jing Hao. Sadly the tide and wind were against us thus we took 11 hours to reach the destination. by the time everyone reached ashore , it was about 6.30pm. and we were told that the cookhouse was closing at 7pm! hence id we do not reach there at 7, we will mot be able to have the food that was provided and will have to cook dinner ourselves... luckily we reached there by 7!! the food was so damn good and we had ice water that taste like sg water!! not the water that has strong chlorine taste that we have at obs camp. also the 11 hours of kayaking made arms feel like they were literally going to break. Pitched the tent in the dark and slept throughout the night.
Day 4
Land expedition! We were given two choices, either to find 5 check points that are placed all over the obs campsite or to walk to chek jawa and back to camp 2! We chose to walk to chek jawa and back to camp 2! Well, obviously we didn't make it. Instead, we went to the highest peak on Pulau Ubin then walked back to camp 2! Tbh, the first half of the journey was really tough oh ya did I say I was carrying the tent + ground sheet? It probably weigh like 15kg with my 3 litres of water. I almost broke down and cried in the first half of the journey cause my back just couldn't take it. And I didn't had a strong mentality. But everyone was encouraging each other so I decided to preserver on! And we did make it back to camp 2! Arrived there early so we were able to shower slowly!!! And enjoy our shower time!! :))) then it was dinner, the last dinner that Magellan is gonna have together :( we had instant noodles and rice! Well. Obviously I ate instant noodles. Haha, and I think my share was like 2 packets of it🙊🙊 talking about it I don't think I lost any weight cause I are quite alot during the camp. HAHAHAH
Day 5
Did more of a admin stuff!! All had reflections. Said thank you and goodbye to people!! :( I don't miss obs, I miss my obs friends! :)

I am society.
Hello stranger!
So yeap finally got a little bit of time to spare for this blog spot. Okay just kidding. I was just too lazy to do one. Okay let's start. So.... it has been probably over 1 week after I got my report book back. Uhh lets talk about results, disappointed, but satisfied. Lol hmmm. Well the l1r4/ l1r5 was kinda bad.. Lol it's was 14/20 respectively. HAHAHAH don't judge k. Well, I'm interested in going into a jc, but I'm kinda afraid about the stress level. But for poly in considering to take banking & finance in np. Hold on. I know you're gonna say that I'm too far-fetched. But wait, what's the point of studying hard and not knowing what your goal is?? I also, this is a guy for me to work towards a goal, so I guess it isn't a bad thing after all. So yeap going on. The part I was satisfied with was my level position!! Cause I improved by 13 positions from being 28/145 of the cohort last year. 🎉 Yay. By now if you think that i'm boasting, you should totally exit my blog right now k. okay continue.. But after all it boils down to one thing, hard work. And I'm glad that my efforts paid off. All those stress out nights spent of revising my subjects. Those times I cried cause I felt helpless. Yeap, in pretty emotional. If I really studied hard and I didn't get the results I wanted, I'll just have a emotional breakdown. Ya call me dumb. But that's how I feel.
Can't be helped
So the fact that I failed Amath this time round and wasn't surprised & wasn't emotional about it is because I did all I can and revise before my exams, and I alrdy expected to myself to flunk badly.( though I didn't flunk that badly) So, come on people, get on with life. I don't get why you guys are saying like " I wonder how people fail alrdy still can laugh " seriously what is wrong with you man... You can't expect me to cry right???? Lol will thinking about it all the time make you pass your exam? No. Then? Yes I admit you can be silent and cry of whatsoever. But come on get over it and stop saying about the people who did not pass and still was able to laugh. Etc me, myself, I. And hold on, I'm not indirecting anyone. Calm down. I'm just saying what I feel inside.

I totally need to revise my work & diligently complete my work. Clear my doubts. Play hard. Haha
Alright that's it for tonight. 🌸🌸
